To start your quilting adventure, there will be tips on preparing your table, modifying your machine, and how to start quilting as a business.  Checking in a quilt, what to charge, and extras you can do to increase your business will also be covered.  Preparing the quilt, pinning in quilts, pattern quilting, and outlining will be covered.  We will identify and explain all the features and capabilities of your longarm, mid-arm, and short-arm.  Maintenance of your machine will be covered.  We will go through timing as well as adjusting the tensions.  I have an actual machine head made to allow you to adjust the timing and tension.  You will have the confidence to take care of your machine yourself.  I will also cover several of the tools I use in my business.

Class #313 - Longarm Effortless Appliqué

Learn four show-stopping technique's to jazz up your machine quilting. Learn a fast trapunto technique with mock appliqué, blank-stitch, stain glass and raggy appliqué', all done on the machine. Several background stitches along with several folk type flower designs will be covered. Pam Clarke will demonstrate using the longarm machine in designing several flowers and leaves that will be stitched onto a muslin sample then share with you a background design to compliment each appliqué' sample.
