Batting:
Hobbs Wool and Quilter's Dream Poly
Thread:
Superior - Bottom Line, Highlight, and Rainbow
Quilters Statement:
My daughter, Olivia and I designed this quilt to bring joy and a
smile to the viewer. Each clown was pieced separately with each
one receiving some sort of 3-D feature. They were then placed
in the parade allowing plenty of room for quilted hidden
pictures. Can you find a fairy, a tea pot, a dancing poodle,
two carrots, a mouse on a ball, three butterflies, two bunches
of bananas, a mermaid, a pair of kissing fish, a ribbon of
roses, a flower basket, and a tea cup? Also please note that
each clown has a name. Which is your favorite? Are you smiling
now?

Thread
Quilters Statement:
This is one of three fish quilts that I have made using
templates from my Fantasy Fish pattern. The fish are truly
fantasy fish, because I sketched them from a laminated field
guide, but mixed and matched body and fin shapes until I liked
what I saw. The quilt was inspired by the work of Susan
Carlson, and an earlier fish quilt of mine.

Dimensions:

Batting:

Thread:
Variety of Superior Threads including So Fine
Quilters Statement:
Imagination starts many journeys and adventures. My dragon
quilt's journey started with my garden wagon, which reminded me
of a dragon. It developed into a quilt and a story of a sad
little wagon who transforms into a dragon and has his own
adventures. This quilt's journey is not yet complete. It will
end at a children's hospital. Children can "Imagine - Wagon to
Dragon" and enjoy their own adventures and journeys of
imagination. Veronica Nurmi selected the quilting designs and
machine quilted this to compliment the piece using a variety of
Superior Threads in the quilting. Veronica used a Juki sit-down
home model sewing machine. She used Hobbs 80/20 black batting.

Quilters Statement:
For the past 5 years I have been saving the triangles trimmed
from squares and when making quilt binding. I used hundreds of
those triangles to create the graffiti word. Graffiti is one of
the oldest forms of mass communication. Twitter is the newest
form of mass communication and recently twitter played a pivotal
part in the elections in Iran. This quilt captures this moment
in time, as twitter immerges as the newest form of mass
communication.

Quilters Statement:
I drew this design in Math Class. Mom said it would make a
great quilt and let me use her quilt prize gift certificate to
pick out cool fabric. She sewed the background pieces together
for me and showed me how to use her Innova. I cut out the
pieces of my Music Man and went a little crazy stitching
everything together. It made me feel old! Nick Farmer 14 Yrs

My sister pieced this top and wasn't so thrilled with the
outcome, although she loved the fabrics. When asked how I
would quilt it, I was stumped! But, if you thin about something
long enough, the ideas come. I had wanted to try the idea of
sketching and this was the perfect opportunity. This was great
fun to quilt.

For their annual quilt challenge my guild gave out one fat
quarter of an ugly fabric that I fell in love with. I came up
with a design based on curved piecing & then found out I had one
month less to complete it than I thought I had. Having just
acquired Lynn Edward's Cathedral Window Quilts, I decided on a
Plan B. I added the narrow border so I could quilt it to
death. The tools used are Renae's Amazing Rays & Linda Mae
Diny's 6" Rays.
